When screen printed heat transfers are applied properly, they can last the life of the garment!
Check out our detailed application instructions page for how to best apply your transfers.

For long lasting transfers, we recommend following these simple guidelines.

1. Turn Your Garment Inside Out

We recommend turning your garment inside out before washing. This helps to protect the applied transfer from any other garments in the wash load - especially against any zippers, buttons, or other rough elements that the garment may come into contact with.

2. Wash Cold & Line Dry*

Wash your garment in cold water and, if you really want the best results, hang to dry. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners.

*We know your time is valuable, so if you're in a pinch, you could use a dryer with the delicate/tumble dry low option, but this is done at your own risk!

Continued use of the dryer on pressed garments may cause the plastisol to break down, leading to cracks, peeling, etc., especially on specialty transfers like glitter and puff. We definitely do not recommend placing glitter transfers in the dryer as this may reactivate the gloss coating, causing it to stick to itself. We also do not recommend placing puff transfers in the dryer as this may reactivate the puff additives, causing the transfer to crack.

Never use an iron over the transfer!

3. Double Check the Care Instructions of Your Garment

If your garment's care instructions request something even more gentle (for example, hand-washing), please follow those instructions. We don't want to ruin your garment!

Bonus Tip!

We recommend laying the newly applied garments out for about 24 - 48 hours before folding or washing. This allows the transfer to completely cure and bond, giving you optimal results.
